In 1926, Constantin Brâncuși meets Marthe Lebherz, a dancer of Swiss origin, arrived in Paris to finish her studies. Marthe was terribly young and beautiful. She was twenty years, Brâncuși was fifty.

He hires her as his assistant in order to mask the love story they secretly live. They become Tantan și Tonton, a crocodile and a lizard. An impossible love story, mostly consumed apart, through an impressive collection of love letters, that become inspiration for this series of works.

This series is an imaginary journey into a universe that is caught between words and emotions, a subjective interpretation of a correspondence that was clandestinely read.
